Ultra Super Critical Boiler - Porto Tolle (RO - ITALY): August 2008 - May 2011
Collaboration for the supply of the structural calulations and checks as a part of the re-powering project of the Porto Tolle plant. The main design activities were:

13 secondary storeys (grating);

check of "coal bunker" shell and its steel transversal reinforcement. The load analysis has been performed according to Eurocodes, in particular to the Eurocode 1 part 4;

design and check of support plint of Ljungstroem;

design and check of base plates;

design and check of typical joint (beam-to-beam and beam-to-column connections).
The load analysis, calculations and checks, have been performed according to the italian structural codes: "D.M. del 14 gennaio 2008" and subsequent "circolare del 2 febbraio 2009".
