Monoroail beam and steel walkways - Misurata (LIBYA): July 2010 - November 2010
Structural design of steel structures to be erected inside the high cold reversing mill building located in the L.I.S.CO. (Libyan Iron and Steel COmpany) steelworks, Misurata (LIBYA). The structures that have been checked consist in a new monorail beam (type HEB600) with a span of 36,0m, supported by 3 new steel beams (type HEA550) and new service walkways to guarantee the access to the monorail beam. Moreover the existing roof support trusses have been checked.The load analysis, calculations and checks are performed according to the Eurocodes.
