Warehouse - Capannori (LU - ITALY): February 2011 - June 2011

Collaboration for the supply of the structural calculations (static and modal analysis) and checks as a part of the renovation of warehouse roof located in Capannori (LU - ITALY). The scope of the supply were the design of the new steel roof structures whose should replace the existing roof structure, made by reinforced concrete. Besides the new canopy roof should be uplifted to allow to install two new bridge cranes. The roof structures will be isolated against the horizontal actions (wind and earthquake) from the existing reinforced concrete superstructures. In such way the existing structures shall resist only to the vertical loads. The horizontal loads acting on the new roof structures will be absorbed by vertical bracings directly connected to the foundation structures.
The load analysis, calculations and checks, have been performed according to the italian structural codes: "D.M. del 14 gennaio 2008" and subsequent "circolare del 2 febbraio 2009". According to the italian laws, the seismic analysis has been performed by a modal analysis by response spectrum function.
